Jim Ybarra uses both fretted and fretless basses, utilizing his training under Mark Bacilla, also Bruce Gertz and Danny Morris of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He spent three years at Berklee studying Jazz Composition and Arranging. Jim has performed with Yavaz, Cheryl Bliss, Rebeca Kelly and Kirn Kounty. He has appeared at Humphrey's, Belly Up Tavern, 4th & B, Croce's Jazz Bar, City of Lights Jazz Festival in Las Vegas, La Costa Resort, US Grant Hotel and The Rhythm Cafe.
